In mid-2024, Depop made a major change by removing the selling fee entirely for sellers in the US and UK. Previously, Depop charged a 10% selling fee on every transaction.
Now, the only fee sellers pay is payment processing. In the US, this is 3.3% + $0.45 per transaction. In the UK, it's 2.9% + £0.30. This is significantly lower than most other platforms.
For a $50 sale in the US, you'd pay $2.10 in payment processing (4.2% effective rate) and keep $47.90. Compare this to Poshmark's 20% ($10 fee on the same sale) — Depop is now one of the cheapest platforms for sellers.
Depop's payment processing is handled through Depop Payments (powered by Stripe). Funds typically arrive in your bank account within 1-2 business days after the buyer confirms receipt or the automatic release period ends.
